XP’s interims reflect the well-flagged market challenges. Channel destocking in Healthcare and Industrial Technology is progressing, but has been taking longer than expected, while the Semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry-wide downcycle also continues.  These three segments were down 18%, 26% and 16%, respectively, leading to an overall revenue decline of 21% to £127m.  However, helped by the cost reduction measures taken in late 2023 and throughout the first half of 2024, expenses in H1 were reduced by 16% to £38.1m, limiting the operating profit decline to £13.5m, albeit it was £8.3m lower than the comparative period.  The order book fell by £42m during the period, bringing it to £150m as of 30 June, with a book-to-bil ...
