IDOX has acquired Emapsite, another UK based geographic information systems (GIS/Geospatial) data provider for £15.8m. This is the largest of five such businesses acquired over the past two years - the others were Aligned Assets, thinkWhere, Exegesis and LandHawk - that combine geospatial and address data to help public sector and commercial property customers automate and streamline workflows. In its year ended 31 March, Emapsite had sales of £10.9m and pretax profit of £0.5m and on a proforma basis, the Geospatial line of business has annualised total revenues of perhaps £15m or c.20% of Idox’s expected c£75m revenues.
