Two days before last month’s issue landed on doormats, Sanderson announced a recommended 140p cash offer from Aptean, a US-based supplier of ERP and SCM solutions to the manufacturing sector. It looks low ball but chairman Christopher Winn’s upcoming ‘retirement’ and the recent weakness of sterling has opened the door to Aptean and it has received acceptances amounting to 49% of the shares, so the deal is cut and dried.Unfortunately we were beaten to the punch.
