Photo-Me has completed the purchase of Asda’s photo division for £3.35m plus £2m inventory. This comprises 191 high footfall photo centres (manned desks) and 172 self-service kiosk sites located in Asda stores. The business includes the processing of digital pictures from various media as well as the printing of pictures on merchandise including mugs, T shirts, calendars, cards, invitations, canvasses etc. The deal also includes the Asda online photo and merchandise processing business, which will be Asda branded but operated by Photo-Me.
