We featured a main write up on GVC in the February ‘14 issue when we made the shares a buy at 353p, shortly after the business had bought Sportingbet. Since then the shares have forged relentlessly higher. Anyone who bought them would also have picked up 76p in dividends including special payments.Back then the shares traded on a PE of just 6 and we argued that the business, which derived 90%+ of its income from Brazil, Germany and Turkey (where online gaming was unregulated) was unlikely to just disappear into a puff of smoke.
