A respectable H1 from Xaar showing stability returning to its ceramic tile business (albeit in China and before all the rumbles this month) and good progress on its thin film developments (P4 platform).Sales were £47.8m, down from £60.4m in H1 ‘14 but more or less matching the previous half year of £48.8m. Helped by the programme of cost cuts,  pretax profit came in at £9.1m from £16.1m. Eps on a lower tax charge was 11p.This, of course, was after capitalising £3.9m (£3.3m) of internal development costs on P4. Net cash was £58.6m, up from £47m.
