Chief executive John Hayward of Pressure Technologies says there is a bit of a buzz surrounding the company at the moment. It's easy to see why. The company has developed a specialism designing high-pressure systems for applications which are fraught with risk and has some exciting opportunities in its markets.Historically, it has been the nonpareil in air pressure vessel systems used to balance floating oil rigs. These large air filled canisters form part of motion compensation systems, which keep the rig stable above the sea bed, preventing heave, which might otherwise snap the drill string.
