Avon made it to new highs after it secured an important development contract for M53 masks for use in the US fixed wing aircraft fleet worth $6.7m over the next two years with follow on production orders potentially worth up to $74m. The latter being hugely significant to the size of the existing business.Separately, the company also issued a trading update ahead of results on 20 November. On the protection and defence side, H2 mask volumes have been similar to those seen in H1 whilst sales outside the DoD have grown materially year-on-year.
