Superglass, the UK manufacturer of glass fibre insulation, has provided an update on a furnace failure that had occurred during June.  This said that progress on repairs has been faster than expected and the furnace went back into operation at the end of August. Some of the shortfall in capacity during the outage was offset by increasing output from the remaining furnace and due to the fact that volumes had generally been light anyway due to the lull in CERT-related activity, depressed housebuilding and lower summer demand.
