As foreshadowed in the January issue of Sharewatch the big placing, which raised Â£21m at 10p, is going to have a dilutive effect on earnings this year. But forecasts have also gone backwards as Innovation has announced that software sales remain depressed although it has had some success in driving repeat income from outsourcing, whereby it provides a software platform hub through which insurers settle motor claims. In addition, the company will also make a Â£9m exceptional property charge to consolidate its property (which is expected to deliver cost savings of Â£4m annually).
