ServicePower has announced two new contracts. The first is with a US consumer electronics retailer. The software will allow the retailer to electronically despatch jobs to their 2,200 installation and repair engineers. It will also run on 3G handsets and enable the customer to monitor the progress of jobs in real time. The contract represents the first time ServicePower has sold its optimisation and GPS tracking solution as a managed solution, ie. application rental, which gives a lower cost of ownership to the client. As a result there is a £0.15m set up fee and also up to £0.5m of software fees depending on how many engineers use it.
