The shares firmed after Land of Leather issued a strong trading update for the year to 29 July. Total sales were boosted by 15 new store openings during the year which helped lift total sales orders by 21.4% whilst like for like sales were up 0.3%. Like-for-like sales were reportedly up 3.5% in the final 13 weeks of the year as a reflection of increased advertising activity and strong promotional offers despite a continued reduction in average order value.
