Caretech has announced the acquisition of Community Support Project, a provider of learning disability care services through its wholly-owned subsidiary, One-Step. One-Step was established in 1999 and has two services; the first is the provision of supported living services for 77 people (13 are in the group's own self-contained flats) who do not require 24 hour care but do need support from carers to live in their own homes. Second is the Ofstead-registered family support and assessment centre in Reading, providing a residential site for up to six families for court reports that help determine whether to place children into care. Caretech is paying £11m (£9m cash plus 363,637 shares at 550p) for the business ...
