Shares in Synchronica (SYNC; 14p), which develops solutions for configuring and using mobile phones, are currently standing close to their all time lows, which values the business at less than its cash. But then the market can be forgiven for thinking this business is about to go bust; Synchronica had cash of £4.9m as at the end of June and even though costs have been cut, it is still burning its way through £300,000 a month. Having recently changed its business model and with sales of only £623,000 in the first half, it’s not hard to draw that depressing conclusion.
