Quite respectable first half results. Turnover was up 25% to £48.9m, with one third from organic growth. Pretax profit after adjusting for ship disposals was up 8% to £7.8m and eps was up 13% to 14.4p. As has been the case for some time, the main profit growth was from marine services where divisional sales lifted from £12.6m to £21.6m. Divisional operating profit was up 23% to £3.5m (42% of the group). The contribution from the defence side reduced mainly due to the loss of the Oakleaf charter (reverted inhouse to the MoD but had contributed £0.5m the previous year) whilst the nuclear services and offshore oil services preformed better.
