Electronics group Polaron has a spectacular jewel in the crown in the form of its nanotechnology business. This division’s main product comprises a 3-dimensional atom probe, a microscope allowing analysis on an atomic scale and consequently Polaron is now a market leader and certainly gaining market share in this technology. Despite the microscope only beginning to find its first uses outside academic research this division is already profitable.Polaron isn’t worth buying just for high technology; the 41-year old company also has established operations in control systems, electronic components and software republishing and has just announced what should prove to be a very eps enhancing deal in its electronic components ...
