If you had gone to sleep in the last 10 days of September you would have been startled to wake up to this range of headlines: US risks running out of money - Petrol panic stokes fears over looming stagflation - Boris in battle to save Xmas - UK ready to call in army - Stagflation fears grip markets - Panic over inflation triggers global market sell-off.This has been enough to trigger a sell off amongst many small caps in our universe of coverage, but most had risen for months and months, so at present this is a healthy correction.
