I recognise two styles of chief executive. There are some who are happy to show you their war wounds and then there are those who are happy-clappy and sunny every day kind of people. I think Robert Ross, joint interim CEO, perhaps falls into the former.In the six months to 30 June, revenue was £99.6m, down 3% with a strong Q1 offset by a weak Q2. Pretax profit was, however, up £0.1m to £2.1m benefiting from cost reductions in March (IT, M&A and finance functions). Adjusted eps were 1p.The bulk of the profit arose in Freight Forwarding (operating profit up from £1.4m to £2.6m).
