A string of London-listed software businesses have attracted bids in recent weeks, as the weak pound and a sluggish stock market have combined to make them cheap to overseas buyers. In our universe we saw a bid for Sanderson (+45% since December ‘18) last month and this month came Statpro (+62% since Sept ‘18). One where the hammer could fall next is Proactis (PHD; 48p), the sixth largest cloud-based e-procurement software company.
