Back in July I suggested that the rise in the UK market from the March low looked incomplete, with a new high ahead. Ditto the US and Japan. This was based on some basic Elliott Wave analysis, where a complete up-trend is made up of 5 waves, 3 up and 2 down. In contrast I felt Germany had broken down and China had another 6-8% downside. Let’s review as the end of the 3rd quarter is upon us.The US Dow Jones Industrial index has led the charge, hitting a new high in September. There is more to go, though the trend, on various criteria, is obviously late in the day. The Nikkei is toying with a new high as I write.The UK has not been as positive.
