Interims to 30 June show that the installation of smart meters has accelerated significantly through the period.  The total meter and data assets portfolio has grown from 1.25m at the end of 2016 to 1.68m (including the 186,000 domestic smart meters now in place from 51,000 six months earlier).  Sales were up 14% to £36.8m with the bit everyone is interested in – the meter asset management side - growing 30% to £22.1m. Asset installation and energy management accounted for sales of £13.1m and £1.6m, respectively.With most of the new meters only in place for a part period, a better measure is the recurring income, which is up 29% to £48.4m.
