I have a confession. My 10 year old is an addict. She is addicted to her iPad and to playing Minecraft. For the uninitiated: Minecraft is essentially a giant, unlimited Lego set that can be accessed via PC, PlayStation and iPhone. You experience the Minecraft world of pixilated blocks through a character called Steve, and Steve can move these blocks to create objects, such as shelters to protect him from the monsters that come out at night or torches to keep the darkness away.Quite how this clunky Swedish construction-based computer game has attracted an estimated 40 million players, I have no idea.
