Helped by the H1 acquisitions of CoolLED, Dia-Stron and Fire for a combined £6.6m, Judges’ revenues for H1 to end of June rose by 9% to £27.3m (organic 7%). Adjusted PBT fell back from £3.2m to £2.8m and adjusted diluted eps from 40.3p to 32.7p. Chief executive David Cicurel said whilst orders at the group level have improved and have been sustained since June (Armfield is also now seeing some improvement following slow sales for the first five months of the year), when up against the very strong H2 last year, Judges is unlikely to play catchup.Regionally, sales progressed in North America, but China was weak (down c10%; we estimate that China represents c20% of group sales), wi ...
