Vislink - Old Vislink still struggling but software takes off

When reviewing the full year results in May, we wrote “Pebble saved the day in 2014 whilst the old Vislink business saw sales down sharply” and that “as a result of inclusion of that high margin business operating margins had climbed to a record 15.9% during H2 14.” It’s therefore frustrating to see latest H1 showing no improvement in fortunes for the old Vislink business with operating margins back to 8.1%.Latest results are reported in a new format. There is “old Vislink,” which is made up of the former broadcast and surveillance bits, and is now called Vislink Communication Systems (the two bits have linked technology but specialised sales teams) and there is the software business, Pebble Beach, which was bought a year ago. ...
