ScS Group - Like-for-like orders +13.3% in first 9 weeks

After the collapse in orders at May's Election, when like-for-like orders came off sharply (4 weeks to 2 May -15.9%) investors have been wary of another shock but instead ScS is beginning to prove the doubters wrong. As it was, sales for the year began to recover in H2 and by the year end, LFL orders were up 5% on last year.  Sales were up 13% to £276.7m and pretax profit was £6.2m including £1m initial losses on the House of Fraser concessions. Earnings per share were 13.8p.  The year saw a full period contribution from 30 HOF concessions plus one net new store, which took the total to 96 standalones.
