Entertainment One - Bid approaches; shares go over 190p

ETO shares shot over 190p after announcing that it is considering a number of strategic options and has appointed J.P.Morgan and Credit Suisse as advisors to conduct a sale, having had interest from a number of film distributors. With Marwyn (MVI; 135p) holding 39.3% of the company, clearly any deal will need to be an agreed one. Separately, ETO also ruled out a bid for Noddy / Enid Blyton-rights owner Chorion, which fell into the hands of administrators this month. Interims are due on 14 November and will come in well ahead of last year. Await developments. ...
