H1 results are never much to write home about for exhibition organiser Tarsus, due to most exhibitions occurring in H2. Historically, Tarsus was lossmaking in H1 but this year it has repeated last year’s trick and was profitable. In fact, adjusted pretax profit was up 16% to £0.6m on sales 10% higher at £9.3m. Operationally, Tarsus said it remains ahead of expectations demonstrated by high forward bookings (95% of H2 sales already secured) and 15 new product launches in the year to date.
