WSP is an old friend to Sharewatch and has been successfully tipped many times in the last decade. Most recently it was a main write-up in Feb'03 at 64p when most analysts had written off its prospects following international expansion which stretched its balance sheet at a time when the main property services markets wobbled.  The first half to 30 June showed a recovery with profit before tax up 15% to £6.6m  and earnings per share up 4% to 7.2p. Sales lifted 9% to £161m (4% excluding two bolt-on acquisitions in Scandinavia). Borrowings in the year rose by £4.1m to £48.7m, partly due to seasonal factors but also due to the £2.2m payment for the two acquisitions and a £2.1m settlement ...
