Shares in Regal Petroleum are becoming a byword for volatility. Tipped at 60p in January '03 they went as high as 440p in June, plummeted to 307p around the time of the first half results last month and have since soared back to 370p. News of some technical problems in mobilising a rig to its Greek operations has depressed the shares but we believe it is a buying opportunity for one of the most exciting exploration companies. When we first tipped Regal, it wasentirely focused on Ukraine, but has added operations in Greece,Romania and Egypt.
