XP Power’s Q3 trading update indicated that revenue for the quarter was in line with expectations at £60.2m. Within the mix, orders from the semiconductor vertical were more than double those of the comparative period and were up 40% sequentially. However, customer destocking in the healthcare and industrial technology sectors has persisted longer than expected. Overall order intake for the quarter was £48.8m, up 11% year-on-year and £4.6m higher than in Q2. XP Power’s book-to-bill ratio was 0.81x, up from 0.7x in Q2, which signifies a positive shift, as it indicates that the company is beginning to receive more orders relative to revenue recognised, suggesting a potential rebound in demand.
