Sanderson Design Group’s (SDG) principal activity is the design, manufacture and marketing of wallpapers and fabrics. The group owns several brands, the biggest of which is William Morris & Co and Sanderson, which have been around since 1861 and 1860, respectively. But chief executive Lisa Montague’s first big insight when she joined in 2019 was that despite huge brand equity, both brands were under-indexed in the US.
