Shoe Zone - Prospective PE of 7.9

I wrote about Shoe Zone, the UK market leader in value shoes, at 67p in March ‘21when I said it “Could bounce big as lockdown eases.” At the time I felt it was emerging from the convalescent ward fitter and leaner, having battled heavy losses during Covid when its stores were shut. This month saw not one but TWO upgrades pushing the shares higher. On and off lockdown restrictions saw stores trading for only 36 weeks in FY21 versus 41 weeks in FY20 but sales are expected to be £119m versus £122m last year, when they had plunged from £162m due to Lockdown 1.The company presently makes most of its sales from its less exciting High Street store estate.
