Nice to see the shares break out from their longstanding trading range. Helping was the very strong H1 statement to end June, which has seen it convert more of its late stage pipeline. Sales were up 8% to £41.2m and pretax profit by 9% to £11m. Eps were up 11% to 3p. Net cash at the period end climbed by a third to £50m.As I said when I wrote on the shares in February, the asset finance market has been recovering since H2 20 with remote working accelerating moves towards a digital strategy, alongside increasing regulation, both of which Alfa is well positioned to benefit from.
