Interims were in line with last month’s pre-close statement, which I covered. Revenues were £65.3m, down 7%, although pretax profit was helped by lower interest charges and was up 7% to £16.3m (eps 2.5p).Reflecting the strategic shift to more reliable consumer brands in recent years, Alliance has announced a reclassification of the portfolio into two areas: Consumer Healthcare brands (including the former International Star brands and 25 other Local Brands), which represents 64% of revenues, and Prescription Medicines (which is the remaining Local Brands).Consumer Healthcare brands showed resilience in H1 20 with revenues of £43.8m (down 3% year-on-year) as its anti scarring treatment, Kelo-cote (+8%), ...
