At last a General Election in the UK is a certainty and we have covered off some angles on this over the last three months. For example, if Labour wins, and there are sharp falls in the short term, it will be a fantastic opportunity to buy smaller companies, which should notably outperform over the balance of the electoral cycle. On the other hand, as we said two months ago, the next global recession (say within the next 24 months?) will require great political skill and intellectual bravery.
