I met aquaculture business Benchmark a few weeks ago. After all the hectic M&A in the past two years, the company has built up a pretty unique set of skills in 1) advanced feed, genetics and breeding that improve yields and disease resistance; 2) vaccines and probiotics that replace antibiotics; and 3) diagnostics and consultancy services to improve husbandry and to reduce fish mortality. This month the company said its state-of-the-art facility in Braintree for the manufacturing of vaccines is complete and it can now deliver these on a commercial scale. Finally, I think the bottom is in on the shares; Ferd, the Norwegian family investment office of Johan Andresen, has just popped up with a 17% shareholding. I am a Buyer. ...
