Tribal said that the sales cycles for some of its larger contracts have lengthened whilst the business has also recently seen a more competitive onslaught from cloud-based competitors who have begun to market their solutions to universities. The delays have led to both services and margin rich software sales being deferred and consequently operating profits will be “significantly below previous expectations.” A cost cutting programme is underway.Canaccord has reduced its eps forecasts by 59%/47%/43% for the years to Dec15/16/17, respectively, to 5.4p/8.2p/8.9p.It’s surprising to see the extent of the downgrades but we suspect the fact that there isn’t a CEO steering the ship is part of the problem. ...
