Benchmark - Reverse takeover talks

The shares were suspended after Benchmark said it is in talks to acquire INVE Aquaculture Holding, which would constitute a reverse takeover.Separately, Benchmark also said it has achieved a major breakthrough in the methodology it uses to identify the best salmon broodstock for resistance to pancreas disease and sea lice, a major issue in salmon farming. The method, called genomic selection, has been used in agriculture for many years across cattle, sheep and pigs but this is the first example of its use in aquaculture.
