As I write this, Bonhams in New York has just achieved a record auction sale price for one of the first Apple computers ever built with the hammer finally going down at US$905,000. The machine, which was built 40 years ago, comes complete with a clunky Sanyo monitor, tape deck and a power supply housed in a wooden box.
