The shares stand close to their highs, helped by a full year trading update that said results will be at the upper end of market forecasts. The protection and defence division continues to perform strongly on the back of its main contract with the Department of Defence. Avon is now in year four of the 10 year contract to supply the military with masks and filters while higher margin non-DoD sales also remain on a positive trend.
