Superglass - Beneficiary of CERT program

Superglass, the UKâ€™s second largest producer of glass woolinsulation products, will report results on 26 November which areexpected to be in line with expectations. For the year ended 30 August,broker Brewin Dolphin forecasts a pretax profit of Â£8.1m for eps of9.7p. Its target for the current year is Â£10.2m pretax for eps of12.2p, boosted by continuing government initiatives to improve theenergy efficiency of residential properties. In particular, thisincludes the new Carbon Efficiency Reduction Target (CERT) programmewhich is due to commence in April and sets binding targets on utilitycompanies to reduce carbon emissions in residential programmes.
