Spice has issued a pre-close trading update, with the business progressing well across the board. Within the commercial services arm, trading in H1 was strong with Inenco performing ahead of expectations for the three months since acquisition whilst on the facilities side, the contract with Norwich Union has been extended to include commercial reinstatement work as well as domestic. Utility services has also grown strongly with continuing good growth on both the water and electricity services parts under its various framework agreements. The telecoms side too shows some signs of life with Huawei winning a framework agreement to supply equipment to BT. Investec forecast eps of 17.2p for the current year to 30 April.
