Scott Wilson has acquired Ferguson McIlveen, a Northern Ireland-based consultant, for £10.1m, of which £4.85m in cash and shares is being paid now with the remainder over the following two years. Ferguson, a leading design consultancy, is headquartered in Belfast and has a further seven offices in the UK, operating in the property, infrastructure and environmental sectors. In the year to 31 March, it had turnover of £14.5m and normalised operating profit of £1.2m, so the purchase equates to a historic multiple of 12.5x.
