Caretech has said that results for the year to 30 September, to be reported on 4 December, will be in line with current expectations. Brewin Dolphin currently forecasts a pretax profit of £3.9m and eps of 8p. That may look expensive but includes two acquisitions for only part of the year so strong growth looks assured. Caretech's development has already proceeded well ahead of expectations, with the two acquisitions already bedded in, taking the number of beds to 739, whereas expectations just one year ago were for 660 beds by 2010. We're sure there will be other deals before long. Brewin forecasts £6m pretax and eps of 12.3p for the current year. Strong hold/buy. ...
