The shares fell after results for the six months to 30 June were reported, with four non-core poorly performing business units exited just after the period end. The results were therefore once again clouded by £1.1m of exceptionals and losses on these discontinued operations. On a continuing basis, sales were up to £37.2m from £32.6m. Operating profit from continuing operations before goodwill was £214,000 down from £1.2m, helped by the executive team taking self-imposed pay reductions.
