Victoria has said that it expects results for the year to 2 April to beat market expectations. It now expects to report sales of £970m (FY21: £662.3m) and EBITDA >£155m, an EBITDA margin of 16%. The margin is down on the 19% in FY21 mainly due to the inclusion of the Californian flooring distributor, Kali, which was acquired last year and is lower margin. That business, says chairman Geoff Wilding, continues to go like the clappers. Sure, there is some cost price inflation but this is being managed with price increases and Wilding says there has been no let up in demand and tells me “March was a record month.” At the same time the commercial sector has also come back with a bang as cruise ships, hotels, airlines and offices etc resume ...
