Arena has said results for the 15 month period to the end of March will be broadly in line. However, since the period end the COVID-19 virus has seen a number of larger customers cancelling sporting and leisure events, which has impacted trading. It has implemented a significant cost reduction programme including temporary lay-offs, reduced working weeks and global partial or full salary reductions. At the same time it has placed new shares at 10p to raise £9.5m. It has brought in a new investor, Tasheel, which will hold 24.2% (60m shares), Lombard Odier has raised its holding to 23.1% (57m) and CEO Greg Lawless has added 2.5m shares to take his holding to 3.8%.
