Obviously helped by the market’s love affair with litigation stocks, shares in credit hire firm Anexo jumped to a new high after 2018 results were slightly ahead. Sales were up 25% to £56.5m and adjusted pretax profit increased by 10% to £16.1m. Eps were 12p.Anexo provides a replacement vehicle service to motorists in accidents where they are not “at fault.” Anexo then pursues a claim for the cost of hire, repair and legal fees against the negligent party’s insurance company.In the past few months, Anexo deployed the funds raised at the June IPO to expand the fleet, reaching 1,946 vehicles available at the period end (+83%) and number of credit hires increased 14% to 5,215.
