Long-term subscribers might already be familiar with Alliance Pharma, which was first featured in SCSW back in 2010 and was a Growth Portfolio 2 constituent.Alliance Pharma’s mainstay back then was to acquire niche market, off-patent, pharmaceutical drugs and market them primarily within the UK. Most of the brands had been on the market for decades and would sell on the basis of brand loyalty/niche applications but with 81% of sales coming from the NHS at the time, it was susceptible to downward pressure on pricing.
