Having said it was trading ahead of expectations in March, ingredient solutions firm Treatt now expects to beat even those upgraded numbers. Half year revenues are expected to show an increase in excess of 25%, with translation benefits from the strength of the US$ accounting for 10% of the growth and the rest due to higher volumes. New business wins and a strong performance have been seen across all categories, particularly in sugar reduction, tea and citrus lines, whilst the move towards added value is lifting margins. Before the news, brokers had been expecting £11.5m pretax profit/eps of 15.9p for the year to end September, with £12.2m/17p next year.Results are due on 9 May.
